A day at Charlestowne Landing

My Canon Rebel and I spent the day at Charlestowne Landing with a bunch of third graders. It was a beautiful day to capture all the light and textures of the historic park.

We could have stayed another three hours and not seen or photographed everything that was there. I was very lucky to have the pair that I did. Ren's buddy was more than willing to have his picture taken, which really helped in getting my less than cooperative son to participate in a few shots!

My favorite of the day is a simple shot of the boys along the fence near the water. Such sweet innocence. If only we could keep them here and not let them grow up. Well, if nothing else I'll be there to capture every stage and step along the way. And I'm sure I'll hear "Mom, enough with the camera!" and "How many more do we have to take?" a million more times during the journey. One day I know they will treasure the photos as much as I do. After all, they do love to tell their friends how many photos I have on my computer - 33,569, but who's counting....

Until the next frame...

Addisyn comes to vist

My niece, Addy spent the day with us and leave it to me to turn the day into a photo shoot. Addy is five months old and a cutie patootie! Some of the most precious photographs were of her sleeping peacefully. The kids took turns helping by getting her bottle, toys and blankie when it was nap time. They even were my prop assistants when I was taking pictures. I look forward to capturing her milestones along the way. Hope everyone has a great weekend and I hope you're able to enjoy the beautiful weather. Until the next frame.....

Happy Spring All!

Morning All!

Had an impromptu photo shoot yesterday with my favorite little model. We took pictures in the vacant lot next to our house and I am very pleased with the outcome. I love the natural lighting and all that nature had to offer.

Go to www.flowertowninfocus.com to see all the photos of my precious little cowgirl!

We are very excited to take our Easter and spring photos with Grandma's baby chicks. The chicks are due to hatch any day now and I can not wait to capture it all in my photos-one frame at a time! More to come....
