My Canon Rebel and I spent the day at Charlestowne Landing with a bunch of third graders. It was a beautiful day to capture all the light and textures of the historic park.
We could have stayed another three hours and not seen or photographed everything that was there. I was very lucky to have the pair that I did. Ren's buddy was more than willing to have his picture taken, which really helped in getting my less than cooperative son to participate in a few shots!
My favorite of the day is a simple shot of the boys along the fence near the water. Such sweet innocence. If only we could keep them here and not let them grow up. Well, if nothing else I'll be there to capture every stage and step along the way. And I'm sure I'll hear "Mom, enough with the camera!" and "How many more do we have to take?" a million more times during the journey. One day I know they will treasure the photos as much as I do. After all, they do love to tell their friends how many photos I have on my computer - 33,569, but who's counting....
Until the next frame...
